A driver seriously injured a motorcyclist, in Orange.
The motorcyclist was riding her Honda motorcycle eastbound on Collins Avenue. At around 2:20 p.m., she collided into a Mazda 626 coming out of a residential property. The motorcyclist was taken to a trauma center. Her injuries are very serious and life-threatening. The victim’s exact condition is unknown.
Police leave that the driver of the Mazda was making a left turn from the residential property. She was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of the drugs. The exact drugs are not known. The driver of the Mazda was booked into Orange County Jail on Thursday night. Orange police have not identified the suspect yet.
After this accident, both sides of Collins Avenue were closed until 10 p.m. Investigators remained at the scene to look at the evidence. Authorities are asking for anyone, with additional information, to come forward.
