Fountain Valley Accident Lawyer

Fountain Valley is a beautiful city in Orange County. In 2000, there were 54,978 residents in Fountain Valley. According to the U. S. Census, Fountain Valley had 55, 313 residents. Its motto is a nice place to live. Fountain Valley is bisected by the San Diego Freeway. It is surrounded by Huntington Beach, Westminster, Garden Grove, Costa Mesa, and Santa Ana.

Fountain Valley’s development was influenced by its Spanish history. The Fountain Valley area was inhabited by the Tongva people. It was eventually taken over by Spaniards. The land was given to Manuel Nieto, and it was called Rancho Los Nietos. The land was over 300,000 acres. After Mexico won its independence, Rancho Los Nietos was under Mexican rule. Eventually, the land was given to the United States as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo.

The city earned its name because of the many artesian wells. There was also an abundant supply of water in the city. During the 1890’s, settlers constructed drainage canals to drain the swampy land. These settlers planted field crops such as sugar beets, beans, barley, and wheat. Cattle also grazed on this land.

Until the 1930’s, Fountain Valley continued to produce beans and sugar beets. Farmers began selling off portions of their land in the 1930’s. The main crop shifted from field crops to crops like strawberries, cabbage, cauliflower, asparagus, corn, beans, lettuce, carrots, spinach, onions, tomatoes, broccoli, parsley, peas, and squash. To this day, Fountain Valley produces these same crops.

In 1957, Fountain Valley was incorporated. Fountain Valley experienced incredible growth during the 1960’s. The city was able to plan accordingly to the growth. Fountain Valley developed in an organized and balanced way. The city is known for being one of Orange County’s best-planned communities.

Fountain Valley has many great community amenities. It is home to the Mile Square Regional Park. Miles Square Regional Park has two lakes, three 18-hole golf courses, playing fields, picnic, gardens, recreation center, and gymnasium. The park also has tennis, basketball, and racquetball courts. It also contains the Kingston Boys & Girls Club. In 2005, a community center and senior center was opened. The park was redeveloped, in 2009. Other parks in Fountain Valley include Allen, Colony, Cordata, Courreges, Ellis, Fulton, Harper, Helm, Heritage, La Capilla, Los Alamos, McDowell, Monroe, Nieblas, Plavan, Stonecress, Vista View, and Westmont Park. The parks of Fountain Valley are very important to the city.

Fountain Valley is a suburban community. Many of Fountain Valley’s residents commute to outside cities for work. This contributes to the significant traffic surrounding the city. Fountain Valley is bisected by the Interstate 405The 405 is a part of the California Freeway and Expressway system. . This freeway has heavy traffic, and it is one of the busiest freeways in the nation. A running joke is that the name “405” is because traffic moves at four or five miles per hour. It is consistently ranked as one of the top 5 most congested freeways in the United States. The freeway is also known for its freeway chases.

Other close freeways Fountain Valley residents use include the 22, 5, and the 55. These freeways are also heavily congested during rush hour. State Route 22 is an east-west highway in southern Los Angeles County and northern Orange County. The freeway runs between Long Beach and Orange. Interstate 5 is the main Interstate Highway on the West coast of the United States. It runs parallel to the Pacific Ocean and U.S. Highway 101. This freeway serves some of the largest cities on the west coast including Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego, and Los Angeles. This freeway is famous for its heavy traffic during rush hour. State Route 55 is a very important freeway in Orange County. It connects to the Pacific Coast Highway and Riverside Freeway. The 55 also intersects other major freeways such as the 22, 73, and 405.

Fountain Valley also has many very busy streets. These streets include Harbor Boulevard, Brookhurst Street, Talbert Avenue, Bristol Street, and Edinger Avenue. Fountain Valley is often busy and full of commuters. These particular streets can be quite packed and dangerous at various times of the day.

In 2009, there were 3 fatal accidents in Fountain Valley. Seven vehicles were involved in these fatal accidents. There were a total of 3 fatalities. 14 people were affected by these accidents. 2 pedestrians were affected by these fatal accidents. In 2008, there were 3 fatal accidents. There 10 vehicles involved, and there were 3 fatalities. 15 people were involved in the accident. In 2008, all three of the accidents occurred on or near the 405 freeway. In 2009, one accident occurred on Brookhurst Street. The other two occurred on Talbert Avenue. Fountain Valley is a great suburban community, but it is highly susceptible to car accidents because the heavy traffic on the 405 freeway and the busy streets.
